A little about me, my name is Maudaevee, I'm an avid reader!! I started as child, I lived with my grandpa in a retirement community, technically no children were allowed, I had to be quiet and so reading was the perfect way to pass time. The library was in walking distance and I loved that I could go in and get as many books as I could carry home. Now as an adult I still love libraries, bookstores and reading, I have books everywhere and at all times. I read many genres and collect books. I'm currently focusing on dictionaries, short stories, fairytales and folklore.

Annotating books?

I have been trying to find ways to better write about books for feedback, reviews and discussions. One of the key points I keep coming across is annotations but I'm having a hard time getting started, mostly I can't bring myself to mark up a book and it takes me out of the story when I keep stopping to take notes or highlight. Maybe I should try dictation? I can read and talk at the same time 🤔

Listening to this fascinating audiobook while I try and organize my bookshelves. The 'hermit' was a man named Chistopher Knight, he was an avid reader. It blows my mind that he was able to survive in the manner he did for so long. I liked Michael Finkel's writing style and will look for more of his work. I also found the interviews with Christopher amusing, he had a few quotable moments. I may add those here later.
